Buildings and blocks of buildings generalization for Information system of the State map series

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku automatické kartografické generalizace plošných objektů. Hlavním cílem je nalezení vhodného postupu generalizace budov a bloků budov pro potřeby Informačního systému Státního mapového díla. V první části práce je nejprve provedena analýza vstupních dat, na jejímž základě budou vybrány vhodné generalizační algoritmy, stanoveny podmínky generalizace a implementace do stávajícího systému. Dále jsou shrnuty existující metody generalizace vhodné pro dané téma. Praktická část práce se zabývá vytvořením aplikace implementující vybrané algoritmy. Jsou zde také popsány experimenty provedené na reálných datech vedoucí ke vhodnému nastavení generalizačních parametrů. V závěrečné části jsou zhodnoceny dosažené výsledky a zmíněny možnosti dalšího rozvoje vytvořené aplikace.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of the automatic cartographic generalization of the area objects. The main goal is to find a suitable method of the building generalization for the needs of the Information System of the State Map Series. Analysis of the input data is done as the first part of this work. On its basis, the proper generalization algorithms are chosen and the conditions of the generalization and implementation to the present system are determined. Next, generalization methods for the given topic are also summarized. The practical part of this work deals with creation of the application which implements the chosen algorithms. Part of the work describes experiments carried out on real data that led to an appropriate setting of generalization parameters. The obtained results are evaluated and ideas for further development of the created application are mentioned.
