Application of selected kinesiotherapeutic procedures in reducing the intensity of non-specific lower back pain

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá porovnáním vlivu vybraných kinezioterapeutických postupů pro rehabilitační léčbu nespecifických bolestí dolních zad (NBDZ). Zabýváme se zde nejprve teoretickými východisky dané problematiky, ze kterých práce vychází, dále metodikou našeho výzkumu, a konečně také výsledky, které jsme získali. Cílem práce bylo ověřit vliv 3 vybraných zdravotně orientovaných pohybových aktivit v rámci léčebné tělesné výchovy na snížení intenzity bolestí, míry disability a subjektivní vnímání vlastního zdraví a kvality života u dospělých jedinců ve věku 20 až 55 let, kteří trpí NBDZ. Účinnost těchto prostředků léčebné tělesné výchovy byla také porovnána pomocí dat získaných během vstupního, průběžného a výstupního vyšetření standardizovanými škálovacími dotazníky The Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ) a EuroQol Five Dimensions Questionnaire. Zkoumán byl vliv intervence, která spočívala v úpravě pohybového režimu po dobu 3 měsíců u klientů s NBDZ. Tato intervence zahrnovala edukaci (o podstatě onemocnění, životním stylu, ergonomických opatření apod.) a následné absolvování námi stanovených tréninkových programů. Probandi byli rozděleni do 3 skupin (odporové, protahovací a aerobní cvičení), aby bylo možné porovnat efektivitu jednotlivých kinezioterapeutických postupů. Výsledky našeho výzkumu naznačují, že se vybrané kinezioterapeutické postupy jeví jako účinné při léčbě NBDZ. Ukázalo se, že všechny skupiny dosáhly statisticky významného zlepšení s velkým efektem v hodnocení disability pomocí dotazníku RMDQ.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the comparison of the influence of selected kinesiotherapeutic procedures for the rehabilitation treatment of non-specific lower back pain (NSLBP). We deal first with the theoretical basis of the issue on which the thesis is based, then with the methodology of our research, and finally with the results that we obtained. The aim of the thesis was to verify the influence of 3 selected health-oriented physical activities within therapeutic physical education on the reduction of pain intensity, degree of disability and subjective perception of one's own health and quality of life in adults aged 20 to 55 who suffer from NSLBP. The effectiveness of these therapeutic physical education methods was also compared using data obtained during initial, ongoing and final examinations recorded within standardized scaling questionnaires The Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ) and the EuroQol Five Dimensions Questionnaire. We therefore examined the effect of the intervention, which consisted in adjusting the exercise regime for 3 months in clients with NSLBP. This intervention included education (about the nature of the disease, lifestyle, ergonomic measures, etc.) and subsequent completion of training programs set by us. We divided the probands into 3 groups (resistance, stretching and aerobic exercises) so that we could compare the effectiveness of individual kinesiotherapy procedures. The results of our research suggest that selected kinesiotherapeutic procedures appear to be effective in the treatment of NSLBP. It turned out that all groups achieved a statistically significant improvement with a large effect in the assessment of disability using the RMDQ questionnaire.
