Supporting PowerPoint presentations and worksheets for teaching organic chemistry in the ninth classes of elementary schools

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na tvorbu podpůrných výukových materiálů pro předmět chemie na základních školách, konkrétně pro výuku vybraných témat z organické chemie. Teoretická část práce obsahuje definici a rozdělení didaktické techniky používané ve výuce chemie, charakteristiku prezentačních softwarů využitelných pro tvorbu prezentací vhodných pro výuku a postup tvorby prezentací pomocí Microsoft PowerPoint. Praktická část práce demonstruje využití didaktické techniky na prezentačním softwaru Microsoft PowerPoint. Vytvořené prezentace jsou doprovázeny metodickými pokyny, jež slouží k usnadnění práce s prezentacemi a nabízí další nápady k obohacení výuky chemie. Další výukové materiály formou pracovních listů k daným tématům PowerPointových prezentací, jsou využitelné jako učební texty pro žáky a poslouží k procvičení a osvojení učiva. Empirická část obsahuje orientační šetření týkající se možností implementace PowerPointových prezentací a pracovních listů do výuky organické chemie v 9. ročníku základní školy a nižších ročníků gymnázií.

Abstract:

Master’s thesis is focused on the creation of supporting teaching materials for the subject of chemistry at elementary schools, specifically for teaching selected topics of organic chemistry. The theoretical part contains definition and distribution of didactic method used for teaching chemistry, characterization of presentation software useful for creation of presentations suitable for teaching and the process of presentation design by Microsoft PowerPoint. The practical part demonstrates using of didactic method on the presentation software named Microsoft PowerPoint. Created presentations are accompanied by methodic instructions which are used to make work with presentation easy and offer other ideas to enrich teaching of chemistry. Other teaching materials, in the form of worksheets on the PowerPoint presentation subject, are usable as teaching texts for students and help to practicing and adoption of schoolwork. The empiric part contains tentative investigation regarding possibility of implementation of PowerPoint presentations and worksheets for teaching organic chemistry in the ninth classes of elementary schools and lower years of grammar schools.
