Anotácia:

Cieľom tejto práce je preskúmať a zhodnotiť dostupné Function-as-a-Service frameworky pre novú platformu na Ústave výpočetní techniky na Masarykovej univerzite. Práca popisuje cieľ platformy, používateľov a viaceré prípady použitia. Je navrhnutá metodika pre výber frameworkov, ktoré spĺňajú požiadavky, a niekoľko vybraných frameworkov je podrobne porovnaných a ich výkon je vyhodnotený. Demo aplikácia je nasadená pre verifikáciu. Výsledkom tejto Diplomovej práce je serverless platforma, ktorá je pripravená na nasadenie do infraštruktúry e-INFRA.

Abstract:

The goal of this thesis is to survey and evaluate available Function-as- a-Service frameworks for a new platform at the Institute of Computer Science at Masaryk University. It also describes the platform’s target users and multiple use cases. A methodology is devised to select frame- works that fit the requirements, and a selected few frameworks are compared in detail, with their performance evaluated. A lightweight demo application is then deployed for validation. The outcome of this thesis is a serverless platform, which is ready to be deployed to the e-INFRA infrastructure.
