Argument from Expert Opinion

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této práce je zhodnocení kritiky síly argumentace pomocí odvolání se k názoru experta, kterou představil v textu Why Arguments from Expert Opinion are Weak Arguments Moti Mizrahi. První část práce se věnuje hodnocením argumentu pomocí odvolání se k expertnímu názoru v historii evropské filozofie. V druhé části jsou představeny současné přístupy k expertíze a hodnocení této argumentace. Třetí část práce se věnuje kritice Mizrahiho argumentu.

Abstract:

The primary purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the critique of the strength of argumentation by appeal to expert opinion, presented by Moti Mizrahi in his text Why Arguments from Expert Opinion are Weak Arguments. The first part deals with evaluations of argumentation by appeal to expert opinion in the history of European philosophy. In the second part, contemporary approaches to the expertise and evaluations of this argument are presented. The final part is devoted to critical examination of the Mizrahi's argument.
