Chronická obštrukčná choroba pľúc (CHOCHP) patrí medzi progresívne typy ochorení, ktoré spôsobujú života ohrozujúce obmedzenie mechanizmu prúdenia vzduchu. Globálne dopady CHOCHP sú čoraz významnejšie, preto sú nové stratégie, vedúce k tvorbe funkčných pľúc, ktoré môžu nahradiť poškodené pľúca, veľmi potrebné. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a progressive disease that causes life-threatening limitations of the airflow mechanism. The global burden of COPD is still increasing, therefore the novel strategies to design functional lungs that may replace the severely damaged ones are strongly needed.
