Shoulder Dystocia from a Midwifes Perspective

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem dystokie ramének z pohledu porodní asistentky. Teoretická část této práce obsahuje anatomii důležitou pro porod, biometrii plodu a porodní mechanismus plodu v poloze podélné záhlavím. Jedná se o informace korigující s problematikou dystokie ramének. Proto považujeme za důležité, ji v bakalářské práci zmínit. Následně už je práce změřená konkrétně na dystokii ramének. Je zde popsána incidence, mechanismus vzniku, rizikové faktory pro vznik této porodnické komplikace, prevence vzniku, management řešení a komplikace spojené s dystokií ramének. V neposlední řadě práce obsahuje také roli porodní asistentky v průběhu dystokie ramének, doporučení pro praxi a závěr, při kterém shrnujeme poznatky, na které jsme při vytváření této bakalářské práce přišly. V praktické části práce je popsána kazuistika pacientky, při jejímž porodu došlo ke vzniku této porodnické komplikace. Výstupem této bakalářské práce je edukativní brožura pro studenty porodní asistence, která by měla sloužit jako jedna z pomůcek pro bližší seznámení studentů, s touto porodnickou komplikací.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of shoulder dystocia from the midwife´s point of view. The theoretical part of this work contains the anatomy important for the childbirth, fetal biometrics and the birth mechanism of the fetus in the longitudinal position of the head. This information is correcting the problem of shoulder dystocia, therefore it is important to be mentioned in this work. Subsequently, the work deals with shoulder dystocia. It describes the incidence, mechanism of origin, risk factors for the occurrence of this obstetric complication, prevention, management of solutions and complications associated with shoulder dystocia. Last but not least, the thesis also contains the role of a midwife during shoulder dystocia, recommendations for practice and a conclusion in which we summarize the findings that we came up with when creating this bachelor's thesis. The practical part of the work describes the case report of a patient whose birth caused this obstetric complication. The output of this bachelor's thesis is an educational brochure for students of midwifery, which should serve as one of the tools for acquainting students with this obstetric complication.
