Motivation for work performance of elementary speacial needs school teachers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou motivace k výkonu v profesním kontextu. Cílem práce je komparace motivace k výkonu v profesním kontextu u učitelů speciálních škol v závislosti na délce jejich praxe a věku. Teoretická část se snaží objasnit témata, která jsou pro tuto práci zásadní. Zejména se jedná o otázky týkající se motivace, výkonu a problematiky pracovního výkonu u učitelů speciálních škol. Praktickou část tvoří výsledky standardizovaného Dotazníku motivace k výkonu LMI - Leistungsmotivationsinventar (Schuler, Prochaska, 2011). Cílem výzkumného šetření je zjistit, nalézt a porovnat odlišnosti ve vztahu motivace k pracovnímu výkonu u učitelů speciálních škol v závislosti na délce jejich praxe a věku. Výzkumný vzorek tvoří 119 učitelů speciálních škol. Pro statistické vyhodnocení dat získaných standardizovaným dotazníkovým šetřením bylo využito příslušného typu t-testu pro komparaci aritmetických průměrů dvou nezávislých výběrů dat a analýzu rozptylu ANOVA (analysis of variance). Z celkového vyhodnocení a následné komparace získaných dat vyplývá, že u učitelů speciálních škol se s přibývajícím věkem a délkou pedagogické praxe mění profil motivační struktury k výkonu v profesním kontextu.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issue of motivation to perform in a professional context. The aim of this work is to compare motivation to performance in the professional context of teachers of special schools depending on the length of their practice and age. The theoretical part tries to clarify the topics that are essential for this work. In particular, there are questions concerning the motivation, performance and work performance issues of special school teachers. The practical part consists of the results of the standardized LMI Motivation Questionnaire - Leistungsmotivationsinventar (Schuler, Prochaska, 2011). The aim of the research is to find, find and compare differences in motivation to work performance of teachers of special schools depending on the length of their practice and age. The research sample consists of 119 special school teachers. For the statistical evaluation of data obtained by a standardized questionnaire survey, the appropriate type of t-test was used to compare arithmetic means of two independent data sets and ANOVA (analysis of variance). The overall evaluation and subsequent comparison of the obtained data shows that in the case of teachers of special schools, the profile of the motivational structure for performance in a professional context changes with increasing age and length of teaching experience.
