Agility and technical skills of diving save in soccer goalkeepers at different performance level

Abstract:

Brankářské akce jsou často výbušné, krátkodobé a technicky náročné, zdůrazňující hbitost jako jednu s klíčových vlastností brankáře. Neexistuje však mnoho studií, zabývající se porovnáním hbitosti u Semi-profesionálních a amatérských brankářů. Cílen práce je porovnání výkonosti u Semi-profesionálních a amatérských brankářů z Moravskoslezského, Olomouckého, Zlínského kraje a porovnání mezi samotnými kraji. Brankáři účastnicí se výzkumu byli Semi-profesionální a amatérští fotbalisté v rozmezí věku 19-33 let (N=18, věk 24,18 ? 5,5, výška 187,89 ? 4,68, váha 8,39 ? 6,70, BMI 23,91 ? 1,75). Testů se zúčastnili brankáři ze 2 výkonnostních úrovní ze (3-6 nejvyšší soutěže v ČR Semi profi: MSFL, divize amatáři: Krajský přebor a 1.A třída). Brankáři byli testování pomocí dvou standardizovaných testů zaměřující se na hbitost a techniku chytání míče v pádu (S-Keeper a LS-Keeper). Brankářům byly u každého testu změřeny dva pokusy, kdy byl následně lepší čas vybrán pro analýzu. Pro srovnání dvou výkonnostních skupin (Semi. Profi, Amatér) byl použit neparametrický Mann Whitney U test. Dále pro tři nezávislé skupiny (region: MSK-OL-ZL) byl použitý neparametrický test Kruskal Wallis. Hladina statické významnosti byla stanovena na p=0,05 a praktická významnost byla posouzena dle effect size (ES) (Cohen d). Při porovnání prvního testu (S-keeper), kdy Semi-profesionální brankáři dosáhli času (4,14 ? 0,15 sekund) a amatérští brankáři dosáhli času (průměr=4,86, SD=0,16), byl nalezen velmi velký vliv (p = 0.001; ES=4,64). Podobné výsledky byly zaznamenány i u druhého testu (LS-Keeper), kdy Semi-profesionální brankáři dosáhli času (průměr=5,14, SD=0,15) a amatérští brankáři dosáhli času (průměr=5,84, SD=0,14), byl nalezen velmi velký vliv (p = 0.001; ES=4,24). U porovnávaní časů u obou testů mezi jednotlivými kraji, měli nejlepší čas brankáři z Olomouckého kraje (průměr=4,38, SD=0,41) a (průměr=5,38, SD=0,34). Nicméně, rozdíly nebyly statisticky významné a na základě praktické významnosti byl prokázán u obou testů střední vliv (S-Keeper test: OL-ZL, ES=0,55; LS-Keeper test: OL ZL, ES = 0,57). U ostatních byl vliv regionu malý nebo velmi malý. Při zjišťování sekundárního cíle bylo zjištěno, že brankáři v Olomouckém kraji jak u Semi-profesionální, tak i v amatérské výkonnostní úrovni zaznamenali nejlepší časy v porovnáním s Moravskoslezským a Zlínským krajem. Tyto testy můžou trenérům ukázat kvalitu jednotlivých brankářů. Pokud amatérští brankáři chtějí chytat ve vyšší soutěži, musejí v tréninku věnovat pozornost především hbitosti a technice chytání míče.

Abstract:

Goalkeeping actions are often explosive, short-term and technically demanding, emphasizing agility as one of the key characteristics of a goalkeeper. However, there are not many studies comparing agility in Semi-professional and amateur goalkeepers. The aim of this paper is to compare the performance of Semi-professional and amateur goalkeepers from Moravian-Silesian, Olomouc, Zlín regions and to compare between the regions themselves. The goalkeepers participating in the research were Semi-professional and amateur footballers aged 19-33 years (N=18, age 24.18 ? 5.5, height 187.89 ? 4.68, weight 8.39 ? 6.70, BMI 23.91 ? 1.75). Goalkeepers from 2 performance levels from (3-6) of the highest Semi-pro competition in the country participated in the tests: MSFL, Amateur Division: Regional Championship and 1.A class). Goalkeepers were tested using two standardized tests focusing on agility and ball catching technique in the fall (S-Keeper and LS-Keeper). Goalkeepers were timed two attempts at each test, with the better time subsequently selected for analysis. The non-parametric Mann Whitney U test was used to compare the two performance groups (Semi. Pro, Amateur). Furthermore, for three independent groups (region: MSK-OL-ZL), the non-parametric Kruskal Wallis test was used. The level of static significance was set at p=0.05 and practical significance was assessed by effect size (ES) (Cohen d). A very large effect size (p=0.001; ES=4.64) was found when comparing the first test (S-keeper) where Semi-professional goalkeepers achieved time (4.14?0.15 seconds) and amateur goalkeepers achieved time (mean=4.86, SD=0.16). Similar results were observed for the second test (LS-Keeper), when Semi-professional goalkeepers achieved time (mean=5.14, SD=0.15) and amateur goalkeepers achieved time (mean=5.84, SD=0.14), a very large effect was found (p=0.001; ES=4.24). When comparing times for both tests between regions, goalkeepers from the Olomouc region had the best time (mean=4.38, SD=0.41) and (mean=5.38, SD=0.34). However, the differences were not statistically significant and on the basis of practical significance a medium effect was shown for both tests (S-Keeper test: OL-ZL, ES=0.55; LS-Keeper test: OL-ZL, ES=0.57). For the others, the effect of region was small or very small. When the secondary objective was investigated, it was found that goalkeepers in the Olomouc region recorded the best times in both the Semi-professional and amateur performance levels compared to the Moravian-Silesian and Zlín regions. These tests can show coaches the quality of individual goalkeepers. If amateur goalkeepers want to catch in a higher competition, they must pay attention to agility and ball catching technique in training.
