Abstract:
This bachelor thesis deals with the question of slavery in the United States of America. It describes the process of growth of antislavery movement with a closer focus on a network of secret routes called the Underground Railroad. For many Southern slaves, this organization represented the only way to freedom. The person most interested in this movement was a ?conductor? named Harriet Tubman.
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá otázkou otroctví ve Spojených státech amerických. Popisuje proces vzrůstu protiotrokářského hnutí s bližším zaměřením na síť tajných cest zvanou Podzemní komunikace. Pro mnoho jižanských otroků tato organizace představovala jedinou cestu ke svobodě. Nejzainteresovanější osobou tohoto hnutí byla ?průvodčí? Harriet Tubman.
