Interest groups in the field of energy and environmental protection operating in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

The subject of the diploma thesis is the research of interest groups active in the field of energy and environmental protection in the Czech Republic. The diploma thesis presents the most influential actors of this sector, outlines their goals, in-terests and attempts to evaluate their impact on public policy. Information sources for the analysis of interest groups are media statements of selected inter-est groups, their strategic documents and structured interviews with representa-tives of these groups. The obtained data are further analysed by the process trac-ing method and the attributed influence method. The results are graphically rep-resented by the influence matrix, which divides the examined interest groups into four groups based on their influence and degree of interest, which provides us with a brief overview of the actors influencing the energy sector in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Predmetom diplomovej práce je výskum záujmových skupín činných v oblasti energetiky a ochrany životného prostredia na území Českej republiky. Diplomová práca predstavuje najvplyvnejších aktérov tohto odvetvia, približuje ich ciele, záujmy a pokúša sa o vyhodnotenie ich vplyvu na verejnú politiku. Informačnými prameňmi pre analýzu záujmových skupín sú mediálne vyjadrenia zvolených záujmových skupín, ich strategické dokumenty a štruktúrované rozhovory so zástupcami týchto skupín. Získané dáta sú ďalej analyzované metódou sledovania procesov a metódou pripisovaného vplyvu. Výsledky sú graficky znázornené prostredníctvom matice vplyvu, ktorá skúmané záujmové skupiny rozdeľuje do štyroch skupín na základe ich vplyvu a miery záujmu, čo nám poskytuje stručný prehľad o aktéroch majúcich vplyv na oblasť energetiky v ČR.
