Comparison of dry and wet physiotherapy programs in a patient with total knee arthroplasty: case report

Abstract:

In this thesis work we will analyze the classic physiotherapy treatment associated with hydrokinesitherapy in a patient who has undergone knee replacement surgery. An effective post-operative rehabilitation project is of fundamental importance for the resumption of normal daily activities. In fact, hydrokinesitherapy in the post-surgical rehabilitation treatment of the knee is a valid therapeutic choice to be combined with dry physiotherapy to achieve optimal recovery. The clinical case that will be proposed later is that of an elderly patient, who underwent the surgery because she suffers from gonarthrosis.

Abstract:

In questo lavoro di tesi si andra ad analizzare il trattamento fisioterapico classico associato all'idrokinesiterapia in una paziente che ha effettuato un intervento di artoprotesi di ginocchio. Un efficace progetto riabilitativo post operatorio ? di fondamentale importanza per la ripresa delle normali attivit? quotidiane. Infatti l'idrokinesiterapia nel trattamento riabilitativo post-chirurgico di ginocchio? una valida scelta terapeutica da affiancare alla fisioterapia a secco per ottenere un recupero ottimale. Il caso clinico che verr? proposto in seguito ? quello di una paziente di et? avanzata, che ha eseguito l'intervento poiché affetta da gonartrosi.
