Analysis of the development of Chomutov cultural and sport activities

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je analyzovat nabídku kulturních a sportovních zařízení ve městě Chomutov a zpracovat návrh strategie rozvoje města Chomutov v oblasti kultury a sportu. První část práce obsahuje teoretický podklad opírající se o regionální politiku v České republice. Je zde rozebrán význam kultury a sportu pro regionální rozvoj. Z této části vyplývá klíčová myšlenka celé práce, že kultura a sport významně ovlivňují kvalitu života obyvatel regionu a tím přispívají ke zvyšování jeho atraktivity, konkurenceschopnosti a hospodářského rozvoje. Druhá kapitola je věnována charakteristice města Chomutova z hlediska jeho vývojo-vých tendencí v oblastech urbanistické a demografické struktury, ekonomické situace a za-městnanosti, životního prostředí a cestovního ruchu. Je využita metoda komparace údajů o městě a celé republice. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována současné nabídce kulturních a spor-tovních zařízení, která je zhodnocena jako pestrá a bohatá. Poslední kapitola vymezuje strategii rozvoje Chomutova v oblasti kultury a sportu na základě analýzy Rámcové strategie města Chomutov do roku 2020. Jsou zde představeny hlavní projekty v oblasti kultury a sportu, realizované ze strukturálních fondů Evropské unie. Na principu syntézy všech zjištění jsou stanovena závěrečná doporučení pro město Chomutov, orientovaná na zpřístupnění sportovišť širokým vrstvám občanů a na podporu vytváření alternativních prostor pro kulturní vyžití mladé generace.

Abstract:

The aim of the present Thesis is to analyse the present offer of cultural and sport esta-blishments in the town of Chomutov, and to prepare a suggestion for the strategy of develop-ment of the town of Chomutov in the field of culture and sport. The first part of the Thesis contains theoretical basis according to the regional policy in the Czech Republic. It involves analysis of the importance of culture and sport for the deve-lopment of the region. Herefrom the key idea of the whole Thesis results, namely the fact that the culture and sport significantly affect the life quality of the region inhabitants, and hereby it may improve the attractivity, competitive ability and economical development of the region. The second chapter is devoted to characteristic of the town of Chomutov related to development trends in the urabnistic and demoghraphic structure, economical situation and employment, environment and tourist industry. The method of the comparison between the data about the town and those about the whole republic was applied. Special attention was focused on the present offer of cultural and sport establishments, which is evaluated as very varied and rich. The last chapter deals with the strategy of development of Chomutov in the field of culture and sport. It is based on analysis of the General strategies of the town of Chomutov till 2020. The main projects in the field of culture and sport realized from the European Uni-on.structural funds are presented here. Based on synthesis of all acquired facts final recomendations for the town of Chomu-tov have been made, focused on making the sport fields accessible to all and any citizens, and on support of creation alternative spaces providing possibility of full participation in cultural activities. for the young generation.
