Spatiotemporal changes in active surfaces in Brno region

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo sestavení mapy městských povrchů v Brně na základě potenciálního příspěvku k tepelnému ostrovu města. Jako výchozí data sloužil multispektrální snímek z družice Landsat 7 pořízený v roce 2001. K separaci zastavěných ploch byl snímek podroben automatické řízené klasifikaci, následná typizace zástavby proběhla jednak na základě výsledků studia tepelného ostrova v jiných městech, v nichž jsou definovány parametry ovlivňující intenzitu tohoto jevu, a též pomocí analogové interpretace podkladových materiálů.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to design a map of urban surfaces in the city of Brno, based on its possible contribution to the urban heat island. The multispectral image taken by Landsat 7 in 2001 is used for the input data. To distinguish built-up surface, the image is classified using the automatic supervised classification. The consequential categorization of the build-up areas is based in part on the research of the urban heat island in other cities, where there are already described parameters affecting the intensity of the given phenomenon, and in part on analogue interpretation of the input data.
