Forest bioeconomy as a part of the national bioeconomy strategy

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce popisuje a zhodnocuje aktuálně platné dokumenty zabývající se bioekonomikou na národní a evropské úrovni. Zabývá se také aktivitami spojenými s bioekonomikou na národní i mezinárodní úrovni a rozebírá roli lesnictví v bioekonomice. V neposlední řadě se věnuje samotným produktům lesních ekosystémů a zhodnocuje jejich význam. Zabývá se především využitelností lesní biomasy jako obnovitelné suroviny v energetice a dalších odvětvích průmyslu. V závěru práce zmiňuje důležité aspekty bioekonomických strategií a potenciální nevýhody bioekonomiky.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis describes and evaluates currently valid documents concerning bioeconomy on national and European level. The thesis also deals with activities connected to bioeconomy on both, national and European level, and analyses the role of forestry in bioeconomy. Last but not least, the thesis deals with individual products of forest ecosystems and evaluates their importance. It deals especially with usability of forest biomass as a reusable raw material in energetics and other industries. In conclusion, the thesis mentions important aspects of strategies for bioeconomy and bioeconomy’s potential disadvantages.
