Diplomová práce Vančura beletrista a esejista se zabývá vztahem autorovy esejistiky a beletrie. Esejistiku zařazuje do obecnějšího rámce české meziválečné avantgardy okruhu Devětsilu. Jako klíčovou pak zvažuje otázku „básnivosti“, ústředního autorova termínu a zároveň požadavku kladeného na celou uměleckou produkci. Diploma thesis Vančura Fictionist and Essayist deals with connection between two fields of author’s work. His essays are connected with the interwar Czech avant-garde, especially with the Devětsil. A crucial author’s term „básnivost“ is also his main claim on any work of art. Thesis seeks for connection of author’s visual style and a cinematography.
