Argot in field of sport in France and Czech Republic

Abstract:

This thesis concerns the presence of sports slang in French dictionaries. It is focused only on an equestrian branch and the relevant small slang vocabulary. The theoretical part embraces the theory of the language and language differences with the definition of slang, including its terminology and typology. The last part is dedicated to a small equestrian vocabulary and the most common and most used terms one can encounter in this field. Three main dictionaries (Larousse, CNRTL, Le Petit Robert) and one specialized dictionary (Slang dictionary) were used to observe the presence of the analyzed terms.

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá přítomností sportovního slangu ve francouzských slovnících. Zpracovává pouze oblast jezdectví a její součástí je také jezdecký slangový mini slovník. Teoretická část zahrnuje teorii jazyka a jazykové rozmanitosti. Následuje definice slangu, včetně jeho terminologie a typologie. Poslední část je věnována jezdeckému mini slovníku, který popisuje nejčastěji používané termíny, se kterými se v této oblasti můžeme setkat. K pozorování přítomnosti analyzovaných termínů, nám sloužily tři velké slovníky (Larousse, CNRTL, Le Petit Robert) a jeden specializovaný slovník (Slangový slovník).
