Analysis of wine labelling

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the issue of wine labelling. The first aim of this study is to compare the labelling of wines abroad in selected countries and in the Czech Republic and determine the difference. Fulfilling the objective will help first definition of wines in the countries of France, Italy, Spain, Germany and the Czech Republic, followed by comparative analysis. Before the comparison are predetermined criteria which are subject to comparison. The differences are shown separately for each criterion, some of them in the form of tables for better clarity. The second stated objective of the study is to determine consumer preferences for wine labels. In the second objective will be used a questionnaire survey. The evaluation survey is involved. The work includes the characteristics of the essential concepts of labels and labelling. In the thesis are used the basic methods for example work with bibliographic and Internet resources, questionnaire survey, electronic interrogation, mathematical and statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, as well as comparative and descriptive analysis. In the theoretical section are described the standards of labeling wines from the legal perspective and the meaning of individual concepts. Subsequently, in the analytical part is made comparison of wine labelling. Part of the work is a chapter depicting an exemplary wine labels from selected countries. After the questionnaires are find out the consumer preferences, which are filled aims of the thesis. The draft chapter lists the various proposed solutions to improve the situation found. The most important finding of this work is the diversity of labelling in the European Union and the missing mandatory informations. Specific proposed measures are described in the draft chapter. The thesis is a summary of knowledges on the subject wine labelling.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca je zameraná na problematiku označovania vín na etiketách. Prvým cieľom práce je porovnať označovanie vín v zahraničí vo vybraných krajinách a v Českej republike a určiť rozdiel. Naplneniu cieľa pomôže najprv definícia označovania vín v krajinách Francúzsko, Taliansko, Španielsko, Nemecko a v Českej republike a následne komparatívna analýza. Pred komparáciou sú vopred stanovené kritéria, ktoré sú predmetom porovnávania. Zistené rozdiely sú uvedené jednotlivo pre každé kritérium, niektoré vo forme tabuľky pre lepšiu prehľadnosť. Druhým stanoveným cieľom v práci je zistiť preferencie spotrebiteľov na vínnych etiketách. K druhému cieľu je použité dotazníkové šetrenie. Súčasťou je vyhodnotenie prieskumu. Práca obsahuje charakteristiku základných pojmov týkajúcich sa etikety a označovania. V diplomovej práci sú využívané základné metódy ako práca s bibliografickými a internetovými zdrojmi, dotazníkové šetrenie, elektronické dopytovanie, matematicko-štatistické metódy ako je popisná štatistika, ale aj komparatívna a deskriptívna analýza. V teoretickej časti sú opísané štandardy značenia vín z právneho hľadiska a význam jednotlivých pojmov. Následne je v analytickej časti prevedená komparácia označovania vín na etiketách. Súčasťou práce je kapitola zobrazujúca príkladné vínne etikety z vybraných krajín. Po vyhodnotení dotazníku sú zistené preferencie u spotrebiteľov, čím sú naplnené ciele práce. V návrhovej časti sú vymenované jednotlivé navrhované riešenia pre zlepšenie zisteného stavu. Najdôležitejším zistením práce je rôznorodosť označovania v rámci Európskej únie a chýbajúce povinné údaje. Konkrétne navrhované opatrenia sú opísané v návrhovej časti. Diplomová práca je súhrnom poznatkov k téme označovania vín na etiketách.
