Functional Equations

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá funkcionálními rovnicemi a jejich řešením. Práce je určena nadaným žákům středních škol případně vysokoškolským studentům se zájmem o toto téma. Na úvod práce je připomenut pojem funkce a vlastnosti funkcí. Poté je podrobně vysvětlen postup řešení různých typů funkcionálních rovnic a řešení motivačních příkladů. Součástí diplomové práce je také kapitola o aplikacích funkcionálních rovnic s podrobným řešením úloh. Jedna z kapitol se zabývá také historií funkcionálních rovnic.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with functional equations and their solution. The paper is intended for gifted high school students or university students interested in the topic. At the beginning of the thesis, the concept of function and the properties of functions are recalled. The procedure for solving different types of functional equations and solving motivational examples is then explained in detail. The thesis also includes a chapter on applications of functional equations with detailed problem solving. One of the chapters also deals with the history of functional equations.
