The vanished objects of Lednice-Valtice area

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá zaniklými stavbami Lednicko – valtického areálu. Na základě archivních plánů, dobových vyobrazení a literárního popisu oblasti byly vysledovány stavby, které vypovídají o podobách nejen parku v Lednici. Z Valtic coby centra "Liechten - steinu" („zářícího drahokamu“) vedou aleje k pozoruhodným stavbám a utváří tak významný kulturní a estetický celek. Jedná se o krajinářský park jižní Moravy, do něhož architekti ve službách Liechtensteinů zanesli mnohé stavby z různých kultur a období, po vzoru nejslavnějších evropských parků. Stěžejními okruhy práce je výstavba v době Karla Eusebia a Aloise I. Tato práce má za cíl vybádat a popsat stavby zahradní architektury, jenž se nedochovaly nebo se dochovaly pouze zčásti a nalézt informace o jejich stavební historii a provést jejich reflexi.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the defunct buildings of the cultural – natural complex located in the towns of Lednice and Valtice and the adjoining area. The concept of various landforms and images are based on archival plans, period illustrations and literary descriptions of the area including the castle park in Lednice. There are many alleys leading from Valtice, the centre of "Liechten - stein" ("shining stone"), to various buildings and create a significant cultural and aesthetic unit. It is a landscape park in South Moravia where architects in the service of Liechtenstein built many structures from different cultures and periods, following the example of Europe's most famous parks. The most significant part of the thesis is the building period during the reign of Karel Eusebius and Alois I. This thesis aims to fathom and describe the construction of garden architecture which have not been preserved or preserved only partially, to find information about the history of the buildings and to analyse their reflection.
