Dynamic Modeling for Service Systems: Innovation-Cooperation Paradigm in Service Systems

Abstract:

Tyto teze cílí na rozšíření univerzálního modelování vycházejícího z TIL do hlavního proudu service science. Pro dosažení tohoto cíle je univerzální modelování rozšířeno o modelovací vzory ”mention–use” a servisně orientovaný modelovací nástroj Servce Aspects Star. Zároveň je zaveden pojem Network–Hierarchical Structure. Service Aspects Star se zaměřuje na service jakožto interakci, která zahrnuje akci, role, kompetence. A dále vyžaduje přesnou definici pojmů jako agent, výstup, evaluace, pravidlo při pojetí místa a času, a souvisejících procesů. Network– Hierarchical Structure nahlíží organizaci jako komplexní a dynamickou množinu instancí tzv. Structural Action Elements, Role Setting Elements a agentů v čase. Servisní systém, ať už jednoduchý systém (jako např. nějaký softwarový servisní systém) nebo komplexní (jako např. společnost jako servisní systém) může být modelován jako kombinace Service Aspects Star a Network- Hierarchical Structure. Ohodnocení takového systému je prováděno kreditní funkcí. Tato práce předkládá matematický model výše zavedených struktur. Práce dokládá dva příklady, které implementují předložený přístup: příklad vizualizační služby (Adaptable Visualization Service) a příklad servisně orientované softwarové společnosti. Celkově lze přístup prezentovaný v práci nazvat INCO (INnovation & COoperation), kde název zviditelňuje potřebu těchto schopností (schopnosti inovace a cooperace) v servisních systémech.

Abstract:

This thesis aims at bringing universal modeling firmly grounded on TIL and HIT into the service science mainstream. In order to achieve this goal, universal modeling is extended with a services management oriented conceptual modeling tool, the Service Aspects Star, consistent with the Mention–Use and Type–Instance square patterns, and with an dynamic organizational management structure model, the Network-Hierarchical Structure. The Service Aspects Star focuses on service as interaction, involving actions, roles and competences, and requires a precise definition of agents, outcomes, locations, times, evaluations, rules and processes. The Network-Hierarchical Structure views an organization as a complex and dynamic set of instances of Structural Action Elements, Role Setting Elements, and Agents in time. A service system, either a simple one, such as software service system, or a complex one, such as an enterprise service system, can then be modeled following a combination of the Service Aspects Star and Network-Hierarchical Structure. Evaluation of such system is done by credit function. Moreover, the thesis introduces a mathematical model of previously established structures. The thesis exemplifies the complete approach with two partial examples: a visualization service software (Adaptable Visualization Service) and a software service enterprise (Mycroft Mind). This overall new service science approach is designated INCO, for INnovation & COoperation, stressing the need for such properties in service systems.
