Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá jedným z problémov potomkov Holanďanov žijúcich v Holandskej Indii, ktorí boli konfrontovaní s dvoma odlišnými kultúrami, v ktorých vyrastali. Táto práca je zameraná na spôsob, akým boli títo ľudia prijímaní v Holandskej a Indonézskej spoločnosti, aký dopad to malo na ich život, a súčasťou ktorej z týchto rozličných kultúr sa cítili byť. Prvé dve kapitoly sú teoretické a v prvej z nich sú vysvetlené pojmy súvisiace s postkoloniálnou literatúrou. Druhá kapitola obsahuje stručný prehľad holandských autorov postkoloniálnej literatúry. Tretia praktická časť pozostáva z analýzy kníh Zelfportret als legkaart od Helly S. Haasse a Indische duinen od Adriaana van Disa. Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce je objasniť, ako spoločnosť, v ktorej indonézski Holanďania žili, formovala ich dvojitú identitu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis discusses one of the problems of the descendants of Dutchmen who lived in Dutch India, who were confronted with the two different cultures in which they lived. This thesis is focused on the way these people were accepted in Dutch and Indonesian society, what impact it had on their lives, and which of these different cultures they felt to be a part of. The first two chapters are theoretical. In the first of them the terms related to the postcolonial literature are explained. The second chapter contains a brief overview of the Dutch postolonial authors. The third practical part consists of an analysis of two books: Zelfportret als legkaart by Hella S. Haasse and Indische duinen by Adriaan van Dis. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to clerify how the double identity of the Indian-Dutchmen were formed by the society in which they lived.
