Moravian philharmonic Olomouc in cultural and historical contexts and its metamorphosis: The conception of functionality

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o významném symfonickém orchestru, Moravské filharmonii. Cílem práce je nejen poskytnout ucelený pohled na historický vývoj, ale zaměřit se také na významné osobnosti, které se podepsaly na vzestupu umělecké úrovně orchestru, či které pojí společná spolupráce. Nedílnou součástí diplomové práce je koncept funkčnosti organizace v podobě marketingové analýzy, na základě které je jednak objasněno současné fungování a postavení organizace, ale postihuje i významnou participaci instituce na kulturním dění a na budování dobrého jména města Olomouc. Součástí práce je také přehled hraného repertoáru ve vybraných letech. Připojen je i dotazník spokojenosti zaměřený jak na současné, tak potencionální posluchače.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with remarkable philharmonic orchestra, Moravian philharmonic. Presenting the historical development of the orchestra is not the only aim of the thesis. The work focuses also on the significant personalities, who contributed to the artistic level of the ensemble or cooperated with the orchestra. The conception of functionality is important part of the thesis and it is presented in a form of marketing analysis. This analysis helps to clarify contemporary functioning of the organization and its situation at present. This part also demonstrates the important participation of the orchestra on the cultural life of Olomouc and raising prestige of this city. The thesis also includes a list of performed repertoire and a questionnaire of content targeted on actual and potential listeners.
