Evaluation of tree stands for the landscape architecture needs

Abstract:

V rámci práce jsou mapovány možné trajektorie vývoje DVP. Pozornost je logicky soustředěna na porosty dřevin, mapování trajektorií ( a výsledné hodnocení) DVP zahrnuje i dřeviny hodnocené samostatně. Oddělovat jednotlivé typy prvků by bylo metodickou chybou, protože hodnocení všech DVP je nezbytné provádět v kontextu jejich okolí a ten je tvořen ostatními DVP. Hodnocení porostů je proto nezbytné provádět v kontextu nebo jako součást hodnocení soliter, neboť v principu jde o stejné prvky a interpretační výstupy musí vést ke stejným závěrům. Na základě popsaných trajektorií jsou definovány rozhodné body a kritické kombinace vlastností DVP pro vývoj souborů dřevin. Protože je významná kombinace vlastností, nelze v uspokojivém rozsahu popsat stav dřevin v rámci jedné škály (typu sadovnická hodnota = "SH"). Hodnocení dřevin (DVP) obsahuje jako podstatný atribut "prostorový kontext", jde o vlastnost, která zásadním způsobem definuje možné vývojové trajektorie DVP a která byla opomíjena. V rámci modelování růstu dřeviny byla na datové sadě (cca 160 jedinců Tilia cordata) prokázána korelace velikosti koruny na průměru kmene. Závislost je lineární (resp. kvadratická s velmi malou kvadratickou složkou). Toto bylo potvrzeno pro další 4 taxony (Carpinus betulus, Pinus nigra, Prunus mahaleb, Quercus robur, cca 130 jedinců celkem). Ještě silnější korelace byla prokázána mezi průměrem kmene a listovou plochou dřeviny. Tato korelace je těsnější než analogické korelace spojené s objemem koruny a povrchem koruny. Korelace je lepší i v případě velmi jednoduché aproximace listové plochy dřeviny jako povrchu opsaného válce s vícenásobně připočtenou plochou podstavy. Tento princip výpočtu lze použít jak pro solitery, tak pro porosty a tento údaj představuje dobrou metriku "velikosti dřevin". Nalezená korelace byla dále použita pro odvození růstových koeficientů pro cca 60 sadovnicky nejvýznamnějších stromových taxonů dřevin z literárních dat a tyto koeficienty aplikovány při simulaci budoucí velikosti dřevin. Nalezená korelace byla rovněž využita pro ověření metody výpočtu náhradního kmene u vícekmenných dřevin, kde bylo potvrzena v praxi používaná aproximace náhradního kmene jako teoretického kmene, který má stejnou plochu průřezu kmene jako je součet ploch průřezů dílčích kmenů. Byla vytvořena metodika inventarizace dřevin, která pokrývá sběr dat primárních, tvorbu dat odvozených a grafickou interpretaci těchto dat. Protože se v závislosti na zadání a velikosti objektu liší logický rozsah/ hloubka interpretace dat, byly vymezeny 4 úrovně (v případě změny zadání lze pro stejná data změnit rozsah interpretace). Nejvyšší úrovní je pak vizualizace budoucích rozměrů dřevin (predikce rozměrů). Pro tvorbu odvozených dat (predikce budoucích rozměrů dřevin představuje rovněž data odvozená) byly sestaveny tabelární přehledy a pracovní postup. Abstract:

Within the work, possible trajectories of DVP (woody species vegetation components) development were mapped. Attention was focused on tree stands The evaluation of tree stands is necessary make in the context of the evaluation of solitaires. In principle, these are the same elements and the interpretative outputs must lead to the same conclusions. Based on the described trajectories, decisive points and critical combinations of DVP properties for the development of tree groups were defined. Because these are combinations of properties, it is not possible to satisfactorily describe the condition of woody plants within one scale (type as landscaping value = "SH"). Tree assessment (DVP) contains as an essential attribute "space context", it is a property that fundamentally defines the possible developmental trajectories of DVP and which has been neglected. As part of tree growth modeling, a correlation of the crown size on the trunk diameter was demonstrated on the data set (approximately 160 Tilia cordata individuals). The dependence is linear (or quadratic with a very small quadratic component). This was confirmed for another 4 taxa (Carpinus betulus, Pinus nigra, Prunus mahaleb, Quercus robur, about 130 individuals in total). An even stronger correlation was demonstrated between the trunk diameter and the leaf area of the tree. This correlation is tighter than analogous correlations associated with crown volume and crown surface. The correlation is better even in the case of a very simple approximation of the leaf area as the surface of the circumscribed cylinder with the base area multiplied by several times. This calculation principle can be used for both solitaires and stands, and this value represents a good "tree size" metric. The found correlation was further used to derive growth coefficients for about 60 most landscaping important tree taxa from the literature data and these coefficients were applied in the simulation of future tree size. The correlation found was used to verify the method of calculation of the surrogate stem in multi-stemmed trees. The approximation of the surrogate stem used in practice as a theoretical stem with the same cross-section as the sum of the cross-sections of the sub-stems was confirmed. A tree inventory methodology was created. This methodology solves both the collection of primary data, the creation of derived data and the graphical interpretation of this data. Because the logical scope of data interpretation differs depending on the input and the size of the object, 4 levels have been defined (in case of change of input, the scope of interpretation can be changed for the same data). The highest interpretation level is the visualization of future tree size (dimension prediction). Tabular overviews and workflows were compiled for the creation of derived data. These sub-datasets are part of the presented methodology
