Abstract:

AbstraktDiplomová práce zpracovává výtvarnou koncepci celovečerního filmu na motiv knihy „Velekněz“ (v originále High Priest), jejíž autorem byl harvardský profesor Timothy Leary. Autor zaznamenává počátky svého výzkumu psychedelik jak v pracovní rovině psychologa, tak i v soukromém životě, kde rozvíjel se svými kolegy a přáteli nový kult společnosti, přičemž Leary a spousta dalších jej později vnímala jako jistý způsob náboženství a víry. Autor popisuje mimo jiné i stavy různých intenzit prožitých na psychedelikách.Diplomová práce je složena z části teoretické a praktické.První část, teoretická, se zabývá rozborem scén z různých filmů. Scény mají přiblížit atmosféru, pocit nebo vizuální efekt charakterizující prožité stavy postav příběhu.Druhá část, praktická, nejdříve popisuje obsah knihy a jednotlivé lokace. Následně jsou lokace převedeny do podoby výtvarného návrhu. Vizualizace obsahují situace reálných prostředí v kombinaci s prostředími halucinogenními.Abstract

AbstractThe diploma thesis elaborates an artistic conception of a feature film based on a book "The High Priest" by Harvard professor Timothy Leary. The author records the beginnings of his research in psychedelics, both in the work level of a psychologist and in private life, where he and his colleagues and friends developed a new cult of society, and Leary and many others perceived it as a kind of religion and belief. The author describes, among other things, the states of various intensities experienced in psychedelics.The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part.The first part, theoretical, deals with the analysis of shorter or longer scenes from various films. Scenes should bring closer the atmosphere, feeling or visual effect that characterizes the experience of the characters in the story.The second part, practical, first describes the content of the book and the individual locations. Subsequently, these locations are transformed into art design. The visualisations contain situations of real environments in combination with hallucinogenic environments.
