World War 2 in the Greek context: Louis de Bernières – Captain Corelli's Mandolin
Abstract:
Captain Corelli‘s Mandolin is a book by the British writer Louis de Bernières, which deals with the topic of World War 2 in the Greek context. In this thesis I have dealt with various aspects of the book and strived for its in-depth analysis. I focus particularly on the way the facts and historical events are integrated into the storyline, their trustworthiness and authenticity.
Abstract:
Dielo Mandolína kapitána Corelliho od britského spisovateľa Louisa de Bernièresa pracuje s témou 2. svetovej vojny v gréckom kontexte. Vo svojej práci sa zaoberám rôznymi aspektmi diela a snažím sa o jeho hĺbkovú analýzu. Zameriavam sa najmä na spôsob integrácie faktov a historických udalostí do fabuly diela a ich dôveryhodnosť a autenticitu.
