Financial analysis of the company Moser, a. s.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na finanční analýzu sklářského podniku Moser, a. s. za období 2012 až 2015. Informace jsou čerpány z veřejně přístupných dat zveřejněných Ministerstvem spravedlnosti ČR. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, do metodické a praktické. Nejprve je představena metodická část, kde je na počátku zmíněna podstata, zdroje, techniky a metody finanční analýzy. Dále je věnována pozornost horizontální a vertikální analýze, rozdílovým a poměrovým ukazatelům. V závěru metodické části jsou uvedeny bonitní a bankrotní modely a zhodnocena predikce finanční tísně. Praktická část se zabývá představením analyzované společnosti a následně vlastní finanční analýzou. Vypočtené hodnoty ukazatelů jsou porovnány s konkurenčním odvětvím. V závěru páce je zhodnoceno finanční zdraví podniku.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on financial analysis of the glass manufacturing company Moser, a. s. for the period 2012 to 2015. The information is taken from publicly available data published by the Ministry of Justice. The thesis is divided into two parts, methodical and practical. Firstly, the methodical part is introduced. At the beginning, it describes the essence, sources, methods and the techniques of financial analysis. Then, attention is paid to horizontal and vertical analysis as well as differential and financial ratios. At the end of the methodical part, we are introduced to credit scoring and bankruptcy models and are given a validation of the prediction of financial stringency. The practical part deals with the presentation of the analyzed company and, consequently, its financial analysis. Calculated values of indicators are compared with competitive industries. At the end of the bachelor thesis, there is an evaluation of the financial health of the company.
