The importance of the department of central sterilization in the prevention of hospital infections

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou oddělení centrální sterilizace v prevenci nemocničních nákaz. Správná sterilizace je totiž jedním z nejdůležitějších faktorů pro zamezení přenosu nemocničních nákaz. Teoretická část je zaměřena na nemocniční nákazy a to zejména na jejich agens, způsob přenosu a šíření těchto agens, vzniklé infekce a na jejich prevenci. Dále se práce věnuje tématu sterilizace. Přibližuje a vysvětluje sterilizační postupy, průběh sterilizace a kontrolu sterilizace. V práci je také krátce schematicky popsáno oddělení centrální sterilizace. Cílem teoretické části práce je zpracovat literární rešerši o nemocničních nákazách, sterilizaci a oddělení centrální sterilizace. V praktické části budou interpretovány výsledky průzkumu informovanosti studentů o sterilizaci, nemocničních nákazách a oddělení centrální sterilizace, který byl proveden formou krátkého dotazníku. Zdroji byly zejména knihy a webové stránky oficiálních organizací.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the central sterilization department in the prevention of nosocomial diseases. Proper sterilization is one of the most important factors in preventing the transmission of nosocomial infections. Theoretical part is focused on nosocomial infections, especially on their agens, the method of transmission and spread of these agens, infections and their prevention. Furthermore, the work deals with the topic of sterilization. It describes and explains sterilization procedures, sterilization process and sterilization control. The work also briefly schematically describes central sterile supply department. The aim of the theoretical part of the work is to process a literature search on nosocomial infections, sterilization and central sterile supply department. Practical part will interpret the results of a survey of students awareness of sterilization, nosocomial infections and the central sterilization department, which was conducted in the form of a short questionnaire. The sources were mainly books and websites of official organizations.
