Problems of Entering of the Czech Republic into European Monetary Union

Abstract:

ANOTACE Práce se zabývá problematikou přistoupení České republiky k Evropské měnové unii od stručného nástinu vývoje měnové politiky Evropské unie přes integraci ČR do Evropské měnové unie, která zahrnuje charakteristiku jednotlivých přípravných etap, zejména třetí etapy, která se bezprostředně dotýká již současnosti. V této souvislosti práce seznamuje se zásadními strategickými dokumenty ČR, které se týkají zavádění eura v podmínkách ČR, především se Strategií na přistoupení do eurozóny, Konvergenčním programem, Národním plánem na zavedení eura. Jak vyplývá již ze samotných názvů, jedná se o velmi závažné dokumenty, které svým obsahem ovlivňují činnost českých orgánů, institucí, státní správy, podnikatelských subjektů. Nelze opomenout část týkající se základních principů zavádění eura v České republice, protože jsou v podstatě totožné se základními principy zavádění eura, jak vyplývají z platných evropských předpisů, kterými se musí Česká republika řídit. Práce se dále zabývá hodnocením plnění maastrichtských kritérií a hodnocením plnění úkolů při zavádění eura v České republice.

Abstract:

ANOTATION This thesis deals with the issue of the Czech Republic joining the European Monetary Union. It starts with the summary of the EU monetary policy development, and then describes the integration of the Czech Republic into the Monetary Union, including the definition of individual preparation stage – especially the third one, which has an immediate effect on the present. The thesis also makes its readers acquainted with the main strategic documents of the Czech Republic on the implementation of Euro, especially the Strategy of the Czech Republic joining the Euro area, the Convergence Programme and the National Plan of Euro Implementation. They are all very important documents, which influence the activity of various Czech bodies, institutions, the state administration and entrepreneurial subjects. It is also important to mention the main principles of Euro implementation, followed by the Czech Republic, as these are essentially identical to the main principles of Euro implementation as they arise from the valid European directives. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the fulfillment of the Maastricht criteria and the assessment of the performance of task throughout the Euro implementation in the Czech Republic
