Coping with stressful situations in people recovering from addiction

Abstract:

The present bachelor's thesis deals with coping with stress among people recovering from addiction. In particular, it focuses on the use of coping strategies in the context of everyday stress. In the theoretical part, I pay attention to the concepts of managing stressful situations, coping strategies, coping in the context of addiction and the treatment process itself. The main aim of this thesis is to compare coping between different phases of the recovery treatment process and abstinent patiens. The results did not reveal any significant differences, but I was able to identify the most utilized strategies across groups and within gender.

Abstract:

Predložená bakalárska práca sa zaoberá zvládaním záťaže u osôb liečiacich sa zo závislosti. Zameriava sa predovšetkým na využívanie stratégií zvládania v súvislosti s každodennou záťažou. V teoretickej časti venujem pozornosť pojmom zvládania záťaže, copingovým stratégiám, zvládaniu v súvislosti so závislými a samotnému liečebnému procesu. Hlavným cieľom tejto práce je porovnanie zvládania záťaže medzi jednotlivými fázami liečebného procesu a abstinentmi. Výsledky neodhalili žiadne značné rozdiely, ale podarilo sa mi zistiť najvyužívanejšie stratégie naprieč skupinami a v rámci pohlavia.
