Secure housing like a facility for social habilitation for people who are mentally affected

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá službou chráněného bydlení jako prostředkem sociální rehabilitace pro osoby s mentálním postižením. Teoretická část je zaměřena na charakteristiku osob s mentálním postižením, charakteristiku ústavní péče, na oblast vzdělávání lidí s mentálním postižením a na práva postižených lidí. Dále je v teoretické části popsaná sociální politika vztahující se k osobám s mentálním postižením a způsoby integrace této cílové skupiny do většinové společnosti.V praktické výzkumné části této práce je použit kvalitativní výzkum. Výzkumné šetření hodnotí, jak chráněné bydlení ovlivňuje sociální a emoční vývoj klientů. Je popsán rozdíl mezi životem klientů v chráněném bydlení a klientů v pobytovém ústavním zařízení. Výzkumné metody: pozorování, rozhovor, analýza dokumentace.Klíčová slova: mentální retardace, chráněné bydlení, integrace, inkluze, sociální politika, vzdělávání, klient, uživatel.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the protected housing facility as a means of social rehabilitation available to people with intellectual disabilities.Its theoretical part deals with the typical features of mentally disabled people and the characteristics of asylum care, as well as with the education and the rights of people with mental disorders. In addition, the social policy applicable to mentally challenged people and the available methods of their integration into the mainstream society are covered here.Qualitative research is being utilised in the practical part of the thesis. By carrying out this specific research we can establish how protected housing influences the social and emotional development of the clients. Differences between the clients living in protected housing conditions and those staying in long-term asylum facilities are being demonstrated here.Research methods: observation, dialogue, analysis of documentation available.Key words: mental retardation, protected housing, integration, inclusion, social policy, education, client, user.
