Analysis of global approaches to Mobility as a Service

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je analyzovat tzv. best practice konceptu Mobility as a Service z globální perspektivy a na základě vyhodnocení navrhnout business model pro implementaci tohoto konceptu do českého prostředí. Uvedený návrh business modelu MaaS se zaměřuje na existujícího českého MaaS operátora, společnost ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab a platformu Citymove. Teoretická část práce se zabývá představením současných pohledů na koncept MaaS. Nejprve jsou vymezeny faktory umožňující vznik MaaS, následně se práce věnuje historii a definici pojmu, typologii a obchodnímu ekosystému. Další část se zabývá obchodními modely se zaměřením na Business Model Canvas. V praktické části jsou nejprve identifikováni hlavní hráči na poli MaaS, jejichž obchodní modely jsou následně spolu s modelem českého operátora podrobeny hloubkové analýze. Poté je provedena komparační analýza, jež si klade za cíl identifikovat nedostatky obchodního modelu českého MaaS operátora. Na základě zjištění jsou v závěru navrženy úpravy tohoto modelu, který zároveň slouží jako vzor implementace MaaS na český trh.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the best practice of the concept Mobility as a Service from a global perspective and, based on the evaluation, to propose a business model for the implementation of this concept in the Czech environment. The proposed MaaS business model is focused on the existing Czech MaaS operator, ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab and Citymove platform. The theoretical part deals with the presentation of current perspectives on the MaaS concept. First, the factors enabling the emergence of MaaS are defined, then the author addresses the history and definition of the term, typology and business ecosystem. The next part is devoted to business models with a focus on the Business Model Canvas. In the practical part, the main players in the MaaS field are identified, whose business models are subsequently together with the model of the Czech operator, the subject of an in-depth analysis. A comparative analysis is then carried out, which aims to identify the weaknesses of the business model of the Czech MaaS operator. Based on the findings, modifications to this model are proposed, which also serves as a model for implementing MaaS on the Czech market
