Analysis of experience of mentors from the project "City of Brno improves the quality of education in primary schools"

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá zkušeností mentorů z projektu „Město Brno zvyšuje kvalitu vzdělávání na základních školách.“ Skládá se z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část obsahuje tři kapitoly, z nichž první dvě se zabývají popisem projektu, vymezením pojmu mentoring a pozicí mentora ve školním prostředí. Poslední kapitola teoretické části přibližuje profesní profil sociálního pedagoga a zaměřuje na srovnání činností a profesního zaměření mentora a sociálního pedagoga. Na teoretickou část navazuje část výzkumná, jež se zaměřuje přímo na zkušenosti mentorů z projektu. Má formu kvalitativního výzkumu. Data, jež byla získána metodou ohniskové skupiny, jsou zde analyzována metodou otevřeného kódování, které je prvním krokem tzv. zakotvené teorie. Závěrem práce je interpretace výzkumu, jež je rozdělena do šesti kategorií, kdy každá z nich obsahuje své vlastnosti a dimenze.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the experience of mentors engaged in the project "City of Brno improves the quality of education in primary schools." The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part contains three chapters, the first two deal with the description of the project, analyse mentoring and the position of the mentor in the school environment. The last chapter presents the professional profile of the social educator and compares activities and professional orientation of mentor and social educator. The practical is focused on the experience of mentors from the project. It is a qualitative research. The data were obtained by the method of focus group, analyzed through open coding, which is the first step to grounded theory. In the conclusion of the thesis are described results of the research. It is divided into six categories and each of which contains its properties and dimensions.
