Norway and the European Union (analysis of admission processes and reasons for their failure)

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce popisuje vzájemné vztahy mezi Evropskou unií a Norským královstvím. Hlavním cílem této práce je objektivním způsobem provést analýzu toho, proč a z jakého důvodu Norské království, především pak jeho občané, se již dvakrát odmítli plně začlenit do struktur EU a mít tak možnost podílet se na budoucím směřování celé Evropy. Zásadním důvodem absence Norska v EU jsou především historické, ekonomické a politické faktory, na které se tato práce v jednotlivých kapitolách zaměří. Na základě těchto faktorů práce dále analyzuje budoucí perspektivu pozice Norska ve vztahu k EU.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis describes interrelations between the European Union and the Kingdom of Norway. The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to objectively analyze why the Kingdom of Norway, especially its citizens, has already twice refused to fully integrate into the EU structures. And because of this fact, Norway lost its opportunity to participate in the future direction of Europe. The fundamental reason for the absence of Norway in the EU are mainly historical, economic and political factors, on which is the bachelor thesis focused. Based on these factors thesis analyzes the future prospects Norway's position in relation to the EU.
