Comparison of the Effectiveness of Education in Breastfeeding

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je "Srovnání efektivity edukace v oblasti kojení". Tato práce se zaměřuje na míru informovanosti primipar na oddělení šestinedělí v oblasti kojení, po edukaci vedené studentkou nebo personálem. Poté jejich následným porovnáním. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na edukační proces, výukové metody, efektivitu a domácí i mezinárodní studie, které popisují vliv nově vyvinutých intervencí na podporu kojení. Záměrem empirické části mé bakalářské práce bylo porovnat efektivitu edukace v oblasti kojení vedené porodní asistentkou a studentkou. Cílem je přispět k objasnění faktorů ovlivňující edukaci v oblasti kojení, porovnat znalosti prvorodiček ve standardizovaném dotazníku po edukaci vedené porodní asistentkou a studentkou a zjistit, která je efektivnější. Celkem mým výzkumným šetřením prošlo 50 žen, 25 žen edukovaných porodní asistentkou a 25 žen edukovaných studentkou. Po analýze získaných dat, které jsem provedla pomocí Chí-kvadrát testu, jsem zjistila, že edukace vedená studentkou se jeví jako efektivnější. V 8 z 10 oblastí byl shledán statisticky významný rozdíl ve vědomostech prvorodiček ve prospěch skupiny edukované studentkou. Z výsledných dat vyplývá, že edukace poskytovaná studentkou měla statisticky významný vliv na vědomosti prvorodiček.

Abstract:

The theme of this bachelor thesis is ''The comparison of the efficiency of education in the subject field breastfeeding''. This thesis focuses on the awareness level of primiparous in the childbirth unit in the subject field breastfeeding after educational courses being led by either student or the unit midwives. The theoretical part focuses on the educational process, methodology, efficiency and both home and international studies that describe the influence of the new developed interventions to support breastfeeding. The purpose of the empirical part of my bachelor thesis was to compare the education efficiency in area of breastfeeding led by midwife and a student. The aim is to contribute to the explanation of the factors influencing education in the area of breastfeeding, to compare the knowledge of primiparas by means of a standardised questionnaire after an education led by a midwife and a student and to find out, which education was more efficient. 50 women took part in my research in total, 25 women educated by a midwife and 25 women educated by a student. After the analysis of the acquired data, which I have done by means of a chi-square test I found out that the education led by a student seems to be more efficient. There was a difference found out in 8 out of 10 areas in the knowledge of primiparas in favour of the group led by a student. The out coming data prove, that the education provided by a student had a statistically significant influence on the knowledge of primiparas.
