Changes of urban centers small towns on the example of cities Zatec and Louny

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku urbánních center malých měst Žatce a Loun. Práce je logicky a věcně rozdělena do deseti kapitol. Obsahem vstupní části práce je popis vybraných teoretických východisek urbánní geografie. Dále je zde nastíněn historický vývoj měst v celé České republice a také měst Žatec a Louny. Následující kapitoly obsahují deskripce jednotlivých složek struktury měst Žatec a Louny. Součástí jsou i návrhy opatření, která by pomohla zabránit dalším nepříznivým směrům rozvoje obou těchto měst, ale také jejich center. Jako problematické pro centrum Žatce se zde ukázaly především složky fyzické prostorové struktury. Nevyhovujícím je zde zejména fyzický stav budov a jejich využití. Druhou nejzávažnější otázkou je přetížení dopravních komunikací a počet parkovacích míst nejen v centru Žatce. Louny měly nedostatky v odlišných oblastech. Město Louny by mohlo například své strategie orientovat na zlepšení atraktivity městského centra pro rozvoj cestovního ruchu.Města Žatec a Louny byla pro řešení této situace zvolena záměrně, neboť k vyřešení těchto obtížných oblastí mohou využít navzájem svých zkušeností.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on urban centers, small town?s Žatec and Louny. The thesis is logically and factually divided into ten chapters. There are descriptions of the basic theoretical foundations of urban geography in the first part. There is also described the historical development of cities throughout the Czech Republic, as well as towns Žatec and Louny. The following chapters describe the various components of urban structure Žatec and Louny. Furtherer there is definition of main problems and recommendations to the solutions of situation of centers in this thesis. Problematic for the center of Žatec are the mainly physical components of their structure there. Main problem is particularly physical condition of buildings and their use of the town. The second most important issue is volume of traffic and parking places in Žatec. Louny have weaknesses in different areas. For example Louny can solve its strategy of tourism and of their urban center. The cities Žatec and Louny were selected as the solution of these difficult areas. These cities can take advantage of each other's experiences.
