Abstract:

Tato práce je shrnutím výzkum o rozvoji podnikového informačního systému (EIS) v malých a středních podniků (SME) s využitím cloud computingu. Hlavním cílem práce bylo vytvořit rozvojový plán EIS pomocí cloud computingu pro konkrétní SME a posoudit proveditelnost jeho implementace s ohledem na náklady, rizika a přínosy. Sekundárním cílem bylo porovnat zjištění týkající se proveditelnosti, výhod a rizik s očekáváními SME shromážděných z něko-lika kvantitativních studií. Plán rozvoje EIS byl vytvořen ve formě zdůvodnění projektu shr-nujícího všechny relevantní výsledky výzkumu ve stručné formě vhodné pro posouzení a rozhodování. Ani jedeno z řešení navržených v rámci plánu nebylo doporučeno k realizaci. Hlavním důvodem byly vysoká celkové náklady na vlastnictví (TCO) cloudových řešení ve srovnání s řešeními provozovanými na vlastní infrastruktuře. Navrhovaná řešení proto ne-přinesla snížení nákladů očekávané na základě kvantitativních studií. Podobně výhody zvý-šení flexibility a rychlého nasazení se na daná řešení nevztahují. Specifické specifické eko-nomické a technické podmínky sledovaného podniku však naznačují, že mohou existovat jiné SME, pro které by nasazení cloudového řešení mohlo být proveditelné s ohledem na TCO, nebo pro které zvýšení TCO mohlo by být vyváženo nehmotnými výhodami. Co se týče rizik, ani jedno z navrhovaných řešení by nevedlo ke zvýšení bezpečnostního rizika, ale jejich implementace by byla ohrožena nedostatkem dovedností na straně podniku.

Abstract:

This thesis summarizes research into the development of an enterprise information system (EIS) in small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) using cloud computing. The primary aim of the thesis was to create an EIS development plan using cloud computing for a particular SME and assess the feasibility of its implementation with regard to costs, risks and benefits. The secondary aim was to compare the findings regarding feasibility, benefits and risks with the expectations of the SME gathered from multiple quantitative studies. The EIS development plan was created in the form of a project justification, summarizing all the relevant outcomes of the research in a brief form suitable for assessment and decision making. Neither of the solutions suggested in the plan were found to be feasible for implementation. The main reason was high total cost of ownership (TCO) of the cloud solutions in comparison with the on-premises solutions. The solutions suggested, therefore, did not bring the cost reduction expected on the basis of the quantitative studies. Similarly, the benefits of increased flexibility and rapid deployment did not apply to the suggested solutions. However, specific economic and technical conditions of the studied enterprise indicate that there might be SMEs for which cloud adoption would be feasible with regard to TCO or for which the increase in TCO would be outweighed by intangible benefits. Concerning the risks, neither of the suggested solutions would lead to an increased security risk, but their implementation would be threatened rather by a lack of skills on the part of the enterprise.
