The social status of children with health disability integrated in kindergartens

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je zjišťování sociálního statutu členů sociálních skupin a míry začlenění dítěte s postižením do kolektivu dětí bez handicapu. Struktura práce je podřízena vymezenému cíli. Teoretická část vymezuje pojem integrace, podmínky a předpoklady pro její úspěšnost, nejčastější typy postižení, metody použité k výzkumu. Praktická část nás seznamuje s výzkumným problémem, jehož úkolem byl cílený výzkum vztahů panující mezi dětmi s postižením a jejich ?zdravými? spoluvrstevníky, jejich oblíbenost či neoblíbenost v třídním kolektivu a to i z hlediska různosti druhů poruch, handicapů. Samotný výzkum probíhal v pěti vybraných třídách se zdravotně postiženými dětmi integrovanými do běžných mateřských škol. K výzkumu jsme využili metod pozorování, dotazování a jednu ze sociometrických metod. Výsledky byly kvalimetricky vyhodnoceny, a to především formou sociogramů sledovaných tříd a vymezením sociálního statutu integrovaných žáků. Analýza dosažených výsledků ukázala, že sociální status dětí s handicapem v mateřských školách není v žádném případě ekvivalentní statusu dětí bez postižení. Lehčí postižení indikuje lepší sociální status a s tím souvisí i úspěšnost integrace.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on survey of the social status of members in social groups and on the degree of disabled children´s integration into the group of children without handicaps. The thesis structure results from defined goal. The theoretical part defines the concept of integration, the conditions and prerequisites for its success, the most frequent types of disability and the methods used in research. The practical part introduces us into the research problem that means the focus on the research of relationships which exist between children with disabilities and "healthy" children in the same age, on their popularity or unpopularity in the class and also in terms of species diversity of disorders, disabilities. The research itself was conducted in five selected classes of handicapped children integrated into regular kindergarten. In this research we used the method of observation, interviewing, and one of sociometric methods. The results were evaluated with qualimetric form, primarily through sociogram of observated classes and through defining the social status of integrated students. Analysis of the results showed that the social status of children with disabilities in kindergartens is not equivalent to the status of children without disabilities. Lighter forms of handicap indicate a higher social status which includes the success of integration.
