Cieľom diplomovej práce je charakterizovať dôležitosť motivácie ako jednej zo súčastí práce manažéra. Motivácia býva často rozhodujúcim faktorom pri dosahovaní osobných a pracovných cieľov. Samotné spracovanie témy bolo logicky rozdelené do piatich kapitol. Prvá kapitola sa venuje motivácii ako súčasti manažmentu, funkciám manažmentu a motivačným teóriám.
