Installation Art in the Context of Street Art

Abstract:

This thesis deals with street art installations. It tries to approach it by means of street artists and by analysis of their works in urban areas. It also looks on Czech scene and its situation in this field. It talks about possible issues connected with street art installations being less developed in this country. There is a focus on works of street artists installed in galleries and on their comparison with street art installations (by the same artists). There are shown the differences between them. These differences also divide street art from other forms of art. The last part contains findings about public view on street art installations and the public's opinions about different forms of street art.

Abstract:

Táto práca sa zaoberá inštalačným umením street artu. Snaží sa ho priblížiť prostredníctvom vybraných street art umelcov a analýzy ich prác v uliciach miest. Pritom nahliada aj na českú scénu a jej situáciu v tejto oblasti. Rozpráva o možných problémoch spojených so street art inštaláciami a menším záujmom o ich rozvoj v tejto krajine. Zároveň sa zameriava na práce street art umelcov inštalované v galériách na ich porovnanie so street art inštaláciami (tých istých umelcov). Rozoberá rozdiely, ktoré sú medzi nimi a ktoré zároveň oddeľujú street art od ostatných foriem umenia. Posledná časť obsahuje zistenia o pohľade verejnosti na street art inštalácie a jej názory na rôzne formy street artu.
