The Use of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation in Rehabilitation of the Upper Extremity in stroke patients.

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je využití proprioceptivní neuromuskulární facilitace při rehabilitaci horní končetiny u pacienta s CMP. Obecná část je rozdělena na tři části. V první části je stručný popis anatomie horní končetiny. Druhá část pojednává o cévních mozkových příhodách, jejich rozdělení, diagnostice a léčbě. V poslední části je popsán koncept proprioceptivní neuromuskulární facilitace, techniky a využití tohoto konceptu a konkrétní pohybové vzory pro horní končetinu. Speciální část je věnována ergoterapeutické intervenci pacienta s CMP a obecně zpracovaným metodám použitých při vyšetření a terapii pacienta. Poslední částí práce je kazuistika, která je zaměřena na ergoterapeutický postup u pacienta s CMP s využitím techniky PNF. Kazuistika zahrnuje vstupní a výstupní vyšetření, na základě kterých byl vypracován krátkodobý a dlouhodobý ergoterapeutický plán.

Abstract:

The topic of this thesis is the use of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation in the rehabilitation of the upper limb in patients with stroke. The general part is divided into three sections. The first section deals with a brief description of the upper limb anatomy. The second section describes strokes in detail; their division, diagnosis and treatment. The last part describes the concept of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, techniques and the use of the concept for specific movement patterns for the upper limb. The special part deals with occupational therapy interventions in patients with stroke and on generally elaborated methods used during the examination and treatment of the patient. The last part is a case study which focuses on the occupational therapy process in a patient with stroke using the PNF techniques. The case study includes entry assessment and outcomes. On the basis of these assessments, a short-term and long-term occupational therapy plan was drawn up.
