Specifics of selected culture and their influence on tourism services.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is aimed at American culture and its specifics. The aim of this work is to analyse basic values and requirements of American society on tourism services and con-front them with Russian culture. In the theoretical part of Bachelor‘s dissertation I defined and explained basic concepts related to the topic. In the first part I define the basic con-cepts related to culture, ethics and tourism. In the end of this part I describe evolution of American culture and its basic values. Analytical part analyze American culture and its re-quirements for tourism and compares it with Russian culture. In the second part of Bache-lor dissertation I substantiate primary research, which I used for this work. It is a research method of questionnaire survey in which I focused on interest in American culture of Czech and Slovak inhabitants and shortly test their knowledges about this culture. In the last part of my work are processed all information which I gained by this work and suggest possibilities how to increase education of people about culture.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá americkou kultúrou a skúma jej špecifiká. Cieľom práce je analyzovať základné hodnoty a požiadavky príslušníkov americkej kultúry v nadväznosti na služby cestovného ruchu a konfrontovať ich s ruskou kultúrou. V teoretickej časti mojej bakalárskej práce som vymedzila a následne vysvetlila základné pojmy, ktoré úzko súvisia s danou témou. V prvej časti definujem základné pojmy týkajúce sa kultúry, etiky a cestovného ruchu. V závere teoretickej časti opisujem vývoj americkej kultúry a jej základné hodnoty. Analytická časť práce sa venuje špecifikám a požiadavkám americkej kultúry na cestovný ruch a komparuje ich s kultúrou ruskou. V druhej časti práce je zdôvodnený i môj primárny výskum, ktorý som pre prácu využila. Jedná sa o výskum prostredníctvom dotazníkového šetrenia, v ktorom som sa zamerala na zistenie záujmu príslušníkov českého a slovenského národa o americkú kultúru a v krátkosti som preverila ich znalosti o tejto kultúre. V návrhovej časti sú spracované všetky poznatky, ktoré som získala prostredníctvom tejto práce a navrhujem spôsoby zvýšenia vzdelanosti ľudí v problematike kultúry a to na základe výsledkov z dotazníka.
