This bachelor thesis focuses on current development of the bionic eye. The introductory part covers anatomy of the eye, visual pathway and a description of the diseases that are the most common indications for a bionic eye. Táto bakalárska práca sa zameriava na novinky vo vývoji bionického oka. Prvá časť sa venuje anatómii oka, zrakovej dráhe a popisu chorôb, ktoré sú najčastejšími indikáciami pre implantáciu bionického oka. Potom nasleduje kapitola popisujúca bioniku a históriu bionických očí.
