Complexity of arithmetic operations
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce pojednává o složitosti některých aritmetických operací. Pro charakterizaci náročnosti jednotlivých algoritmů využívá Landauův symbol O. Rozebírá klasické algoritmy pro sčítání a násobení, algoritmus SX pro umocňování a různé metody výpočtu členů Fibonacciho posloupnosti. Také popisuje algoritmy pro efektivnější násobení čísel a matic. Závěr patří výpočtu hodnot polynomů.
Abstract:
The thesis deals with complexity of selected arithmetic operations. Landau symbol O is used to characterize the complexity of the algorithms. The thesis describes classic algorithms for addition and multiplication, algorithm SX for exponentiation and different methods for calculating members of the Fibonacci sequence.
