Transformation of National Company Interier Praha

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je věnována vzniku a rozpadu národního podniku Interier Praha. Oba transformační procesy jsou zde popisovány na konkrétních příkladech vývoje jednotlivých podnikových provozů. Komplexní pohled na historii podniku tak dokreslují nejen osudy těchto provozů, ale i osobní příběhy jejich majitelů. Tímto způsobem se práce snaží navázat na bakalářskou práci Produkce národního podniku Interier Praha, a doplnit tak její obsah o informace týkající se jeho vzniku, zániku a dobového kontextu. Jejím cílem je tak vytvořit ucelený obraz historie tohoto významného národního podniku, kterému dosud nebyla věnována pozornost. Vzhledem k tomu, že průběh transformace podniku byl zejména v 50. letech vcelku bouřlivý, je práce doplněna tabulkou, která mapuje připojování a vyjímání jednotlivých subjektů podle let. Díky ní je možné snáze porozumět změnám, kterými podnik během své existence prošel.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the establishment and dissolution of the national enterprise Interier Praha. It offers insight into the transformation process based on the specific instances of the development of the individual facilities. The fate of such facilities, combined with the personal stories of their owners, form a complex view on the history of the whole enterprise. That way, this thesis follows up on a bachelor thesis titled “The Production of the National Enterprise Interier Praha” and adds additional information regarding the way the enterprise was set up and terminated while providing a proper context. The aim of this thesis; therefore, is to communicate a complex picture of the history of this prominent national enterprise that had been neglected by researchers in the past. Inasmuch as the enterprise went through a rather tumultuous transformation, particularly in the 1950s, it was necessary to add a table that would provide an overview of the individual subjects being added or removed over the years. This table is essential to understanding the changes the enterprise had gone through in the course of its existence.
