V této práci je krátce nastíněn politický systém v alžbětinské době a vláda Jindřicha VIII. a jeho dětí (Marie I., Edward VI., Alžběta I.). Je poukázáno na rozvoj poezie, sonetů, nebo dramatu, pro jejichž tvorbu dramatici čerpali inspiraci z francouzských a italských novel, nebo antické mytologie. This work briefly outlines the political system in Elizabethan times and the government of Henry VIII. and his children (Mary I., Edward VI., Elizabeth I.). The development of poetry, sonnets, or drama is pointed out, for their work the playwrights drew inspiration from French and Italian short stories, or ancient mythology.
