Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá významem dětské literatury a pohádek pro děti v předškolním věku. Na začátku je rozdělena dětská literatura na obrázkové knihy a pohádky, dále je sledován vliv pohádek na vývoj dítěte. Další kapitola se zaměřuje na mateřskou školu a její význam pro dítě.
