Folklore Groups and their Existence in the Contemporary Social Context. As examples are used FG Kašava from Zlín, Ostravica from Frýdek–Místek and Dolina from Staré Město.

Abstract:

Tématem práce jsou folklorní soubory a jejich existence v současném společenském kontextu. Výzkumná část práce se zabývá třemi soubory (Valašský soubor Kašava, Soubor lidových písní a tanců Ostravica a Soubor písní a tanců Dolina). Každý „medailon“ daného souboru bude pojednávat o specifických rysech regionu, v němž soubor působí, o jeho formování a výrazných projevech místní tradiční lidové kultury. Zabývat se bude také historií vzniku souboru a jeho významnými osobnostmi. Výzkum aktuálních členů vybraných folklorních souborů a převážně jejich vedoucích má pak objasnit, zda původní smysl existence folklorních souborů, tedy aktivity s vazbou k lidové kultuře, není dnes proměněn směrem k sociální komunikaci a jiným funkcím, které souvisejí se současnou společností.

Abstract:

The theme of this thesis is folklore groups and their existence in the contemporary social context. The research deals with three groups (The Wallachian Ensemble Kašava, The Group of Folk Songs and Dances Ostravica and The Folk Songs and Dances Ensemble Dolina). Each "medallion" of the group will deal with the specific features of the region in which the group operates, its formation and the distinctive manifestations of the traditional local folk culture. It will also deal with the history of the ensemble's formation and its prominent personalities. The research of current members of selected folklore groups is intended to clarify whether the original sense of existence, e.g. activity linked to folk culture, is nowadays transformed towards social communication and other functions related to contemporary society.
