Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá trestem smrti z úzkého i širokého hlediska. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část popisuje historii trestu smrti na našem území od roku 1918 až po jeho zrušení, používané druhy trestu smrti i stručnou historii v zahraničí. Práce taktéž zmiňuje současnou situaci ve světě, kdy byl v jednotlivých zemích trest smrti zrušen a jinde stále trvá. V praktické části je vyhodnocen dotazník, jehož cílem bylo zjistit, jak se společnost staví k trestu smrti a jeho znovuzavedení.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis talks about the death penalty from narrow as well as a broad point of view. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part illustrates the history of the death penalty in the Czech Republic in 1918 to its obliteration. Which types of death penalties have been used during that time. And also a brief overview of the situation in different countries. The work also mentions the current situation of the death penalty around the globe. In which countries the death penalty have been obliterated and in which persists. The practical part analyzes the results of a questionnaire whose objective was to reveal the opinion of today's society towards the reintroduction of the death penalty.
