Abstract:
The thesis deals primarily with two novels by Angela Carter: "The Infernal Desire Machines of Doctor Hoffman" and "Nights at the Circus". The objective of the thesis is to show the kind of characters Carter creates and the spaces that they encounter. The two works are peopled by characters that can be described as hybrid.
